*COVID-19 UPDATE* School bookings for the Spring Term 2021

Due to country being in a national lockdown, the Museum is currently offering its virtual sessions for schools. Our current risk assessment for these sessions can be found here.

Temporarily Suspended Services

The museum is currently closed to the public. Therefore, outreach and class visits to the museum have been temporarily suspended.

We are constantly reviewing and assessing new guidelines as they are released. We will update this page with information on our education programme as and when we can.

The following services will be resumed once Government restrictions for Braintree District have been relaxed:

Class Visits to the Museum

Only one school ‘bubble’ (maximum of 35 pupils) will be able to visit at a time.

Unfortunately, due to the interactive and immersive nature of education sessions at the Museum, many of the activities included within visits will be adapted in order to adhere to current COVID-19 guidelines.

Outreach Visits

A member of the Education Team will only be able to visit one school ‘bubble’ (maximum of 35 pupils) at a time.

Unfortunately, due to the interactive and immersive nature of our outreach education sessions, many of the activities included within visits will be adapted in order to adhere to current COVID-19 guidelines.
