The Friends of Braintree Museum
A message from the Chairman;
“Following the Government advice, all Friends events have been cancelled. There will be no Talks in April, May, June or July. Hopefully the Talks programme will be resumed in September 2020.”
The Friends of Braintree Museum is a registered charity that supports and promotes the work and activities of Braintree District Museum and the Warner Textile Archive.This is done by raising money and public awareness through visits to places of interest; talks on a variety of historically-related subjects; the production of visual media by way of its ‘Timeframe’ subsidiary; and by the publication of its own magazine ‘Chronicles’ and its Newsletter to members. Money is also raised for the Museum and the Archive through members’ subscriptions, and by the annual Christmas Raffle, the proceeds from the latter being always directed towards specific Museum projects.
